Game for Boys: Empire Earth 2
Conflict is always overshadowing human life, even it may be said that the conflict had been born since the advent of human existence on this earth. The culmination of the conflict always takes the form of hostility, quarreling, and the worst, war. War games identically with game for boys. War has always been an interesting theme to be a game, but very few games that turn the battle starting from the first time since the birth of human civilization up to modern times. One of the games that managed to bring the war from different era’s Empire Earth.
You who have played the first Empire Earth will remember how complex the management should you set. In this sequel, complexity management elements further enhanced. Outside the game system which still based on resource gathering commonly used in most RTS (Real Time Strategy), there are so many those need your attention in addition to build, upgrade, train troops, and war. Fortunately, this game for boys provides a tutorial that will guide you to know all the features in the game.
One new vital feature included in the game is Military, Economic and Imperial Crowning. At each age, or who called in the game as an Epoch, you can do research to develop the four topic areas of each category. Every time you successfully master the field at each epoch, before the other players are able, you will be crowned for your success in that field. Not only that, you will also gain access to certain abilities, for example the price of a cheaper troops training for Military Crowning.
Now Empire Earth 2 has implemented the effects of season and weather into the game. Of Doh! What’s the difference with other games? Indeed, other games have had this effect for a long time, but this effect is limited only as “eye candy” or in other words just a graphical effect that beautifies the look of the game. While in the Empire Earth 2, season and the weather will have a direct impact on the game. This will certainly change the way you play game for boys. For example, when the storm hit the desert, you will slow down the movement of troops as well as visibility is narrowed.
Lastly, Empire Earth 2 came not merely as a sequel without renewal in the emerging world of gaming. Lots of improvisation and innovation that is accompanied the new Empire Earth 2. If you are looking for perfect strategy game for boys then you should try this game, especially fans of Age of Empires because you will like it.
History of Pokémon Games
Pokémon is one of the media franchise owned by video game company Nintendo and created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. In the beginning, Pokémon games are synonymous with Game Boy console. Pokémon is the second most successful video game in the world after the Mario series is also created by Nintendo. Meanwhile, when compared with the others, Pokémon is the third series world best-selling franchises after James Bond (Ian Fleming’s work) and Transformers (Hasbro’s work), which is still ongoing and updated as the journey time.
Original version of the Pokémon games were Japanese RPGs with an element of strategy and adventure, and created and written by Satoshi Tajiri for the Game Boy, with the help of the character illustrations by Ken Sugimori. We have had a lot of video games along with its sequels and remakes (including those released in English versions) on the market. Unlike another RPG video game franchises which change a lot of detail of the game, Pokémon is still continued to defend the original concept.
Up to now, Pokémon games can be categorized into four, distinguished based on the game console used, which are: G1 Pokémon (Game Boy era), Pokémon G2 (era Game Boy Color), Pokémon G3 (era Game Boy Advance), and Pokémon G4 (the era of the Nintendo DS). The fourth generation of Pokémon games began in 2006 with the release of “Pokémon Diamond and Pearl” for Nintendo DS. G4 story takes place in the Sinnoh region.
New features introduced in Pokémon games Nintendo DS version, with the touch screen, and with improvements in combat systems and tactics. In addition, there is the return of day-night system like in G2, and still retained Pokémon Contests that this time changed its name to Super Contest. Remake version of Diamond and Pearl Pokémon Platinum was released in March 2009 for Europe and North America.
